We regularly attend Scientific Meetings and seminars sponsored by various professional societies.
One surprising trend we have noticed is more vendors treating various conditions THROUGH clothing.
Some laser experts claim that clothing can block over 90% of the photons of laser energy. What’s the scientific evidence? Can we measure laser penetration?
Let’s go to the video

Lessons from the video
Light meters can accurately and sensitively measure the amount of laser that penetrates fabrics. Depending on the color of the fabric, 90-99% of the laser photons do not penetrate fabric.
Don’t block the power!
Lasers need enough power to reach underlying structures. Treating through clothing assures you will NOT get depth of penetration. And you’ll waste the time of your staff and your patients.
We would be happy to discuss with you the appropriate ways to treat patients. Please call or email us.
Our take on the issue
Don’t waste time and money attempting to use a therapeutic laser to treat a patient through clothing. Most of the positive effects of the laser are blocked or reflected by the clothing.
